Job ID: 2933224 | Amazon.com Services LLC Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced cybersecurity public relations (PR) leader to help our customers and stakeholders understand how our unique security culture, capabilities, and innovation are making the world safer and more productive. The ideal candidate for this Senior PR Manager position has a proven track record of creating and executing media relations strategies within large, fast-moving global organizations. You will be able to demonstrate strong direct ownership of the programs you’ve run, the ability to earn the trust of internal and external stakeholders, and a history of generating high-impact security stories. This Senior AWS PR Manager will partner with security teams and executives across Amazon to identify story opportunities and provide strategic counsel to business leaders. A strong candidate enjoys diving deep into a wide range of security-related technologies and topics to understand their impact on customers, then executing programs that explain these topics to media and third parties to better educate and inspire customers. This role is ideally based in Seattle (HQ1) or Virginia (HQ2) and requires periodic travel. Key job responsibilities

Identify and develop creative story ideas Develop and strengthen relationships with key journalists and third-parties Create media strategies for high-profile events and announcements Explore new channels for reaching customers with our story Regularly interact with senior leaders Manage complex topics with high-judgment and professionalism Work cross-functionally to plan and execute global PR campaigns Support the development and execution of media engagement programs BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience - Bachelor's degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay for this position ranges from $135,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $224,300/year in our highest geographic market.
