Role Overview

One of our clients is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their team. This position involves designing, programming, implementing, and commissioning automation and process control systems across a variety of industrial settings. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy solving complex control and instrumentation challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and program automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and DCS.

  • Write and maintain control documentation: narratives, cause & effect matrices, and functional specs.

  • Design control panels and instrumentation schematics, including P&IDs and wiring diagrams.

  • Lead commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting for new installations and upgrades.

  • Provide technical support and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers.

  • Conduct field work as needed and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.

  • Mentor junior engineers or technicians on best practices and system design.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Hands-on experience with industrial control systems and instrumentation.

  • Proficiency in reading and developing technical documentation such as P&IDs and panel layouts.

  • Familiarity with major PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE).

  • Strong understanding of control system integration, networking, and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications
  • EIT or PE license

  • Programming experience with scripting or database tools (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript) preferred

  • Familiarity with SCADA system configuration and deployment.

  • Prior experience in industrial sectors such as power generation, data centers, utilities, or oil & gas.
