Director, Web

Description:

  • Overall responsibility for Calendly’s Self-Serve Content & Web function covering Marketing Website, Help Center, developer portal, careers site, and more.
  • Build out and support delivery of web and self-serve content vision and roadmap; guide team on strategy, design, content, and tooling decisions.
  • Help evolve the customer education team to consider the entire prospect and user journey; give feedback and direction on content quality, strategy, and distribution.
  • Oversee experimentation program; support Website Strategy and Web Operations leaders to prioritize experiments.
  • Support top-of-funnel organic growth through an SEO/AEO strategy executed by Website Strategy Lead and agency partners.
  • Ensure tight feedback loop with Support and other partners so self-serve content responds to real-customer insights.
  • Regularly review dashboards, analytics, and custom analyses to understand content consumption, navigation, and business growth.
  • Manage and mentor team; ensure alignment towards goals, clarity on expectations, and push for execution, content, and design excellence.
  • Report directly to VP, Growth and work closely with Analytics, Brand and Product Marketing, Lifecycle, and other cross-functional partners.

Requirements:

  • At least 8+ years of experience in Website and/or Content Marketing roles in B2B Saas, including significant leadership experience.
  • Content skills - outstanding written communication skills and love communicating value in a clear, human way.
  • Experience with customer education, content marketing, and other mediums.
  • Technical marketing skills – experience with Content Management Systems, analytics platforms, session recording tools, interactive demo tools; AI-savvy.
  • Analytical skills – able to tell a story with data and access, transform and analyze data at a basic level.
  • An eye for design – able to partner with designers and give constructive feedback.
  • A strong sense of creativity – trendscraping, ideation, and experimentation.
  • Ability to be both a visionary and a driver: articulate vision, build plans, align team, and execute.
  • Bonus: Experience in a hybrid PLG/SLG business serving both self-serve and enterprise customers.
