[Remote] Manager, Business Systems Analysts

They are seeking a strategic Manager, Business Systems Analysts to lead and inspire a high-performing team of BSAs, overseeing efforts to analyze and enhance business processes and systems. The role involves team leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder collaboration to drive operational excellence and governance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and empower a team of Business Systems Analysts to achieve high performance and collaboration.
- Define team goals and KPIs aligned with organizational priorities.
- Provide continuous coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Promote knowledge sharing, cross-training, and role coverage to strengthen team agility and resilience.
- Oversee resource planning, project prioritization, and workload management to ensure timely delivery.
- Establish and uphold best practices, tools, and documentation standards for business analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define actionable requirements that align with strategic goals.
- Contribute to roadmap development and planning for business systems and technology initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted partner to business, engineering, QA, and PMO teams.
- Ensure BSAs maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating business needs into scalable solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, documentation, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Ensure all business requirements, workflows, and system documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Enforce compliance with internal policies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Recommend and influence process or policy changes to enhance efficiency and team effectiveness.
- Equip BSAs to serve as subject matter experts in their respective domains.
- Set clear expectations, monitor progress, and ensure accountability for deadlines and quality standards.
- Recognize and reward contributions while addressing performance challenges promptly.
- Lead the hiring and onboarding of new team members.
Skills
- 7+ years of progressive experience in software development, project management, or business systems analysis.
- 3+ years in a leadership capacity managing teams of Business Systems Analysts (minimum of 3–4 direct reports).
- Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements.
- Proven ability to manage teams utilizing structured analysis, project planning, data modeling, and resource management.
- Strong background overseeing analysis and design of multi-tier business applications.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across Business, Development, and QA functions.
- Expertise in enterprise application environments such as ERP, SaaS, Finance, or other back-office systems (Java, J2EE, Web Services, etc.).
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financial systems.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Proficiency in SQL and SOQL with the ability to write and interpret queries across relational and Salesforce databases.
- Familiarity with DB2, Oracle, or similar relational database systems.
- Demonstrated record of initiative, productivity, and managing competing priorities.
- Experience managing full project lifecycles and development cycles using tools such as MS Project, Visio, and JIRA (Subversion preferred).
- Salesforce Administrator certification and cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Math, or related discipline—or equivalent work experience.
