About the position

Responsibilities

  • Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents
  • Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities (e.g., loss, associate experience, process improvement, data protection, physical security infrastructure) and define appropriate mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert for site leadership keeping them informed on key issues, strategies, and the department's performance
  • Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostic for problematic devices by engaging and resolving issues with internal and external partners
  • Perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events
  • Collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews
  • Interact on a daily basis with external security service providers to ensure delivery of high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience
  • Deliver loss prevention-related education and awareness programs to other teams and liaise with various stakeholders on policy and procedure across all management levels

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 2+ years of blue badge Amazon experience OR 1+ years in security service OR loss prevention OR asset protection OR investigations OR law enforcement OR operations OR Loss Prevention Qualified Career Choice Graduate
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional capacity
  • Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and Business Continuity planning experience

  • Experience making and influencing informed decisions by leveraging data and metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, network and influence across all business levels in a diverse workforce environment
  • 1+ year of leadership or management and/or supply chain experience
  • Investigative interviewing experience; Wicklander and Zulawski, Loss Prevention Qualified, Certified Protection Professional, Loss Prevention Certified, Certified Forensic Interviewer, Certified Threat Assessment Certification or other relevant certifications
  • Experience in physical security systems maintenance/implementation and coordinating scope of work with security vendors
